The Jaggedness Principle
“There Are No Averages”This album is inspired by the jaggedness principle, a concept asserting that no single metric can truly define something, because everything is jagged and multidimensional. For example, the average family has 1.7 cars, but no family really does. The average person owns 7.5 vinyl records, yet no one actually has 7.5 records (unless you count that terrible LP you snapped in half). In the same way, this album does not fit neatly into one genre. Each track carries its own shape, mood, and identity. One size does not fit all — and one sound cannot define the whole.
Aberg Piano Works
Aberg Piano Works is a collection of solo piano compositions written over ten years, accompanied by rich cello and string arrangements. I was fortunate enough to live and work in the Austrian Alps, and even more fortunate to have access to recording equipment and a piano. The snow-covered mountains and surrounding tranquility finally gave me the space to record these compositions. The album is named after the street where it was recorded — Aberg. The penultimate track, “Aberg Ascent,” is a nod to the steep mountain road that leads up to it.
